DataSec (Arabic: داتاسك; legal name: Data Security for Cyber Security) is a Saudi cybersecurity and IT company headquartered in Riyadh and part of the EXA Information Technology group. We work with government entities, banks, insurance and finance companies and private enterprises across the Kingdom.

We hold the Managed Security Operations Center (MSOC) Services Licence — Tier 2 from the National Cybersecurity Authority (No. 010220341), verifiable in the NCA licensing register, with details on our licence page. The licence authorises managed SOC services for any organisation other than government entities and organisations that own, operate or host critical national infrastructure; we serve those organisations through advisory, assessment and solutions.

Our mission

To turn cybersecurity from a list of products into a measurable operational outcome: threats detected and contained, controls applied and evidenced, and decisions taken on clear data. We work from inside the Kingdom, with a team that understands its regulations and regulators, and we commit to every client through a written scope and defined responsibilities.

Our vision

To be the Saudi partner organisations turn to when they want security that actually operates: a licensed SOC run from Riyadh, compliance expertise spanning NCA, SAMA and PDPL requirements, and solutions that integrate with what an organisation already owns instead of replacing it.

Our values

  • Clarity: a written scope, defined responsibilities and reports that say what happened and what did not.
  • Regulatory discipline: we work within the limits of our licence and the regulators' controls, and we do not promise what the rules do not allow.
  • Confidentiality: we never publish beneficiary names or incident data, and we handle client data on a least-access basis.
  • Continuity: security is a process, not a project, so we measure improvement over time and review priorities with you regularly.

What makes us different

A licensed SOC

Managed SOC services are delivered under the NCA Tier 2 licence, with the operating, location and confidentiality requirements that come with it.

Outcomes, not products

We do not sell licences and leave. We commit to an operational result: asset coverage, vulnerability remediation and review-ready compliance evidence.

A team in the Kingdom

Our team works from Riyadh, speaks the language of Saudi regulators and their requirements, and works with you in Arabic or English as you prefer.

Integration with your tools

We build on your existing SIEM, EDR and identity platforms wherever possible and add only what is missing. We have installation and operations experience on Splunk and other widely used platforms.

Leadership

DataSec is led by a team that brings together company building, technology leadership and commercial growth.

How we work

Every engagement starts with a scoping session: which assets, which controls apply to you and which outcome is required. We then issue a written proposal covering scope, responsibilities and reporting. During delivery you have a single point of contact and periodic reports; at the end you receive an evidence file you can present to your regulator or your customers.
