Recruitment fraud notice

Some parties impersonate cybersecurity companies to lure job seekers. This page helps you confirm that the person contacting you is genuinely from DataSec.

Last updated: 27 September 2026

How we recruit

  • Open roles are published only on the careers portal at datasec.sa and on our official LinkedIn page.
  • Applications are accepted only through the portal; we do not accept applications through messaging apps.
  • Candidate contact comes only from email addresses ending in @datasec.sa or from our number +966 59 750 4669.
  • Interviews take place at our Riyadh office or over a video meeting whose link is sent from an @datasec.sa address.
  • Job offers are sent in writing from an @datasec.sa address after at least one interview, and no payment is ever requested at any stage.

What we never ask for

  • Fees for processing an application, training, a visa or equipment.
  • Credit card or bank account details before an employment contract is signed.
  • Money transfers, gift cards or cryptocurrency.
  • Passwords or verification codes for any of your accounts.
  • A copy of your national ID or passport through messaging apps or before the offer stage.
  • Installing software on your devices as a condition of applying.

Signs of fraud

  • Email from a public domain (such as gmail or outlook) or from a domain that resembles our name with a small spelling change.
  • A job offer without an interview, a salary out of line with the role or pressure to reply within hours.
  • A request for money under any justification, or for bank details early on.
  • Contact from international numbers or through messaging apps only, with no official email.
  • Documents carrying our logo but with language errors or incorrect company details.

How to verify

  • Check that the email address ends in exactly @datasec.sa, not a similar domain.
  • Look for the role on the careers portal at datasec.sa. If it is not published there, ask us before proceeding.
  • Call or WhatsApp us on +966 59 750 4669, or email info@datasec.sa with the name of the person who contacted you and the role, and we will confirm whether the contact is genuine.
  • Do not use phone numbers or links contained in the suspicious message itself to verify it.

If you are targeted

  • Stop communicating, do not pay anything and do not share any further data.
  • Keep the messages and documents as evidence.
  • Report to us at info@datasec.sa with what you received, so we can warn others and take the necessary action.
  • If you paid money or shared bank details, inform your bank immediately and file a report with the competent security authorities in the Kingdom.

Data you send in a report is used only for verification and follow-up, under the privacy policy.
